Gemini x Pipecat hackathon last Saturday

October 15, 2025

Gemini x Pipecat hackathon last Saturday. 250 Developers. 20 judges from Google, YC companies, and the multimodal AI ecosystem. 75 projects submitted.

We're continuing remotely all week. You can still sign up your team and compete for $300,000 in API credits.

You don't have to start a project from scratch. You can port something you've been working on to use a Gemini model. You can add a realtime voice or video feature to your startup's product.

Here are the winners from the in-person day on Saturday ...

BeamBell. A 24/7 business solution that answers calls, books appointments, and handles inquiries with calendar/CRM integrations.

Repo[1]

Cohesive. An agent optimizer that replays customer conversations through a Pipecat audio pipeline and analyzes performance using Gemini 2.5 flash.

Repo[2]

Computer Use Go. A multimodal assistant that sees, listens, and acts.

Repo[3]

Xynth. AI-Native Trading Platform. Idea → Strategy → Execution. All data backed, all conversational.

Repo[4]

Bob the humanoid robot.

Arthur MCP. An MCP server that integrated tools from all the sponsoring companies.

Gordon Glasses. Smart glasses that help you discover recipes and walk through them step-by-step — all in the voice of a witty, sarcastic British chef. (Built with @Mentraglass.)

Repo[5]

Pipecat Observability Tools. [ed. note: winner of the “Best README Award," an award near and dear to my heart as a hackathon organizer.]
